Hi, I’m Dane Osborne, LPC

I’m a native Texan, 2nd born in a family of four boys. I use he/him pronouns. I am a spiritual individual who believes that all things are connected and can speak to the human spirit. Everything about a person can deepen the meaning of their sense of self and enhance their life’s purpose

What do I do Best? I help individuals and teens thrive by guiding them toward discovering their passion and purpose.

I received my Master’s in counseling from SMU in 2021 and completed my bachelor's in psychology and child development from the University of Texas at Dallas. As a person who stutters and an individual with a Disability, I recognize that much more goes into a person's situation than just the individual.  Using a holistic approach that acknowledges the individual, the environment, and the dynamics between them, plays a role in the challenges and triumphs we experience. Using relational and psychodynamic techniques, I aim to bring awareness to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are not serving the individual or the life they wish to create and achieve. Through increasing awareness, I work alongside you to support you in creating a life you love and cherish

I am a Texas-licensed LPC, I enjoy mentoring, writing poetry, anime, and spending time in nature when I’m not doing therapy. I love music, folklore myths, and film.  I have a huge sweet tooth.  My perfect day includes sitting at a coffee shop and enjoying the atmosphere followed by meeting up with friends or family while having dessert.

Growing up, I often felt misunderstood as a child.  My interests in fantasy folklore,  myths, and anime were not met with enthusiasm and curiosity. This left me confused and upset, when I matured, I vowed to always take an interest in other people's interests because that interest is a very important and powerful piece of who you are as an individual.
