Hi, I’m Cassandra.
I’m a practicum fellow supervised by Megha Pulianda, LPC-S, PhD. I know that growing up and finding your place in the world can be complicated. Teens and young adults may struggle with anxiety, changing friendships, family conflict, self-esteem, identity, school or college stress, and the feeling that everyone else seems to have things figured out.
I help teens and young adults better understand themselves, navigate difficult relationships and transitions, and build confidence in who they are becoming.
Before beginning my doctoral training, I worked in school-based case management, supporting students and families with medical, social, educational, and mental health needs. That experience shaped the way I approach therapy today: I don't see people or their struggles in isolation. I consider what's happening at home, at school, in relationships, within culture and identity, and in the larger systems surrounding them.
My style is warm, collaborative, and curious. I approach therapy from a multicultural, feminist, and trauma-informed perspective while helping clients recognize the strengths and resilience they already bring with them. Therapy with me is a space to make sense of what you're experiencing, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you.
I am a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman's University and a practicum fellow supervised by Megha Pulianda, LPC-S, PhD. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from The University of Texas at El Paso and have experience in research, teaching, and school-based work with students and families.
Outside of my academic and clinical work, I enjoy unwinding with a good show, spending time with loved ones, and cuddling with my two fur babies.
I ultimately believe growth begins with understanding. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, deepening self-awareness, and moving toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful to them.
The Bottom Line:
Your life isn’t happening in a vacuum. Your experiences are shaped by your relationships, identities, culture, community, and the systems around you.
